My Learning Line

1998
Boarding school In Zimbabwe: Learned how to look after myself. It was the hardest thing to do at a young age of 8, after being used to depend on my mother all the time. Being alone helped me develop in reading because I referred the book as my only companion I could turn to. In sports, Cricket was well known in Zimbabwe and I would like to think I was fairy good at it and was part of my team

2000
Arrival to London: It was quiet an easy way to interact with people here as I had an English background. My English wasn’t fluent but was acceptable.

2001
Primary School: I improved my reading skills and became associated in sports, particularly in Football. It was tough leaving my Cricket background but my friends got me though it and after a couple of months I started to represent my school in football. It was a very good achievement and till this day I look back and feel proud.

2002
Secondary School: IT was by far the best subject I liked studying. There was something about computer technology that bought the best of me. The teachers told me that when I did IT, I was a very fast learner and I loved experimenting with them when ever I had free time at home. Art was also my favourite. At GCSE level I took those two as my subjects and passed both. English was part of my qualifications as well.

2007
6th form: Due to a lack of efficient GCSE results I had to take BTEC in Business. The course was for three years, one being BTEC First and the other BTEC National Diploma. I achieved both and became business minded. Doing a course for that many years, I had no choice. I don’t regret it though because I leaned a lot of stuff and would take it further perhaps at University.

2010
University: I am very happy to have made it to this level. The only reason I chose computing as my course at this level rather than Business is that although Business was still fresh on my mind, IT was still something I love exploring and I am going to benefit this from University by learning more advanced operations through this technology process. My goal is to be a web designer and I am such a freak at game software’s such as XBOX and Playstation so I would love to get involved and learning how to create games and so on…

  1. A really enlightening learning line - boarding school at eight years old - that must have been tough!
